QUICK WORKOUTS FOR A MODEL ON THE GO

TOTAL ROUTINE TIME: Approx. 45 minutes

*Remember to keep your abs and butt tight at all times!*

Quick_CardioModel_Fitness_Cardio_NY_Models

How it’s done: Start your workout with some sort of quick cardio. This can be walking, running, jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc. (ULRIKKE’S NOTE: “A jump rope is a great investment since it’s super easy to pack for travel!”)

Time: 10 minutes

REPEAT THE FOLLOWING ROUTINE 2 TIMES


2_Ballet_Squats

How it’s done: Set your feet shoulder length apart with toes facing outwards. Place your hands behind your ears. Keeping your back straight, bend your knees to reach a chair-sitting position and come up.

Reps: 10

Skiiers

3_Skiiers

How it’s done: Start standing with your feet a fair amount apart. Jump onto one foot, swinging the other behind you (try not to let your swinging foot touch the ground behind you). Jump back and forth to each side. (MARIAH’S NOTE: “Sometimes I have less room, so I aim to jump higher and land softer.”)

Push_Ups

4_Pushups

How it’s done: Position yourself in a plank position–balance your body with your hands flat on the ground and your arms straightened. Keeping your body as straight as possible, bend your elbows outward to lower your body. Bring yourself back up. Repeat.

Reps: 10

Mountain_Walks

5_MountainWalks

How it’s done: Position yourself in a plank position with your hands flat on the ground and your arms straightened (the first position in a push up). Bring your right knee in towards your left elbow, then return to the plank position. Vice versa for the left side.

Sit_Ups

6_Sit_Ups

How it’s done: Lay down on your back with your feet together, flat on the ground and knees facing up. Place your arms folded across your chest. Keeping your lower back straight, raise your upper body up to meet your knees, then come back down. Repeat.

Reps: 20

V_Ups

7_V_Ups

How it’s done: Lay flat on your back with your arms and legs vertically straight out in either direction. Keeping your back straight, bring your knees towards your chest, crunch your upper body up, and lower your arms to meet your knees. Reverse the motion to resume the starting position. Repeat. (MARIAH’S NOTE: “For a challenge, try it with straight legs!”)

Side_Plank_Raises

8_Planks

How it’s done: Position yourself in a side plank position, balancing on your elbow or hand with your body out straight. Place your other hand on your hip, then slowly raise your hip up and down. (MARIAH’S NOTE: “For a challenge, bend your bottom leg for more support while you complete the exercise with one leg raised!”)

Reps: 20 (10 on each side)

Leg_Lifts

How it’s done: Lay flat on your back with your legs out straight and your arms flat by your side. Slowly lift your legs up just a couple of inches above the ground. Hold this position for 20 seconds. Rest for 10 seconds. Repeat.

Reps: 5

Sideways_Leg_Lifts

How it’s done: Lay straight out on your side, resting your head on your arm. Lift one leg up a couple inches above the other. Hold for 20 seconds. Rest for 10 seconds. Repeat.

Reps: 4 (2 on each side)
